Asemic Writing Workshop hosted by David A. Feil
Join us this Sunday,
for an asemic writing workshop with David A. Feil
From mindless scribbling and intricate calligraphic shapes to symbolic codices and geometric patterns, asemic writing comprises the wide spectrum of mark-making between language and visual art that appears to us as if it were writing but that carries no fixed meaning. Throughout the duration of the workshop, participants are free to come and go, using their own or provided materials to explore this practice. Works generated will be compiled into a zine that will be printed and distributed throughout the city. Materials and equipment, as well as paper, will be provided for various types of mark-making. Participants are invited to bring their own materials, equipment, and paper as well.
